Become A Volunteer
There are six teams of volunteers, who record the tapes each Thursday afternoon in our studios in Ely. The whole operation takes less than three hours. One week in six the recording takes place on a Friday evening, for volunteers who can't make the daytime recordings.
We welcome volunteers to help with all aspects of tape production. Readers have to have a good, clear voice and Recorders need to learn a simple mixer/deck recording unit.

Current Vacancy: Magazine Editor.
To collect, edit and compile items of local and general interest such as interviews with local personalities, coverage of local events or items from our archives.
The magazine to have a target publication of every three months, but two months would be better. Recording and editing can be done in the studio or equipment is provided for home use. A portable professional recorder is available for outside recording and tuition will be provided.
